2013 Dec - Horsham

Horsham, December 2013

Standardisation Training Course - Part 4

The course, held in Horsham on 8th December, 2013, covered three areas– Idori-no-kata (kneeling defences), Tanto-dori-no-kata (knife defence), and Muto-dori-no-kata (Tachi-ai) (defences against sword attacks). While Tanto defences have been a regular part of training, it was an excellent opportunity to learn the correct British Wadokai techniques for defending against not only knife attacks but also sword. Along with kneeling defences the course has opened up some exciting new areas for training and practice. Our thanks go to Oren Teichman for once again putting his photographic skills to good use.
